Academic Student of the Week

Fairfield County School District is proud to select Shantella as Student of the Week!

Shantella is a fifth grade student at Kelly Miler Elementary School. She is an academically and artistically gifted learner with excellent character that thrives in different capacities.

For the 2018-2019 school year, she scored exemplary in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Because of her exemplar standardized test scores, she has also been recognized as a Duke Tip Scholar. Shantella is a state-identified Gifted and Talented student that is involved in multiple extra-curricular activities. She is a member of the National Junior Beta Club, Royal Gems, Drama Troupe, and Aviation Team. Shantella is musically inclined with her involvement in Wind Ensemble, Tiger Tones, Tiger Beatz Marching Band, and Solo & Ensemble. Additionally, she is a member of Pre-Algebra Enrichment, Honors Dance, Tigerettes Dance Team, and Step Team.
