ContributorUnited Fairfield hosted the first Fairfield County Legacy Event on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Carolina Center for Events. Approximately 125 people enjoyed a delightful meal, entertainment, fellowship with attendees, and the introduction of the 2020 Legacy Calendar.
The Legacy Calendar highlights historical events and individuals that impacted the lives of Fairfield County residents. Twelve honorees grace the calendar: Sergeant First Class Webster Anderson, Mrs. Queen Davis, Mrs. Shirley Means Greene, Dr. Harris Heath, Sheriff Adam D. Hood and Mr. Jules Smith, Ms. Mamie “Peanut” Johnson, Honorable Annie McDaniel, Dr. Kelly Miller, Sheriff Herman Young and Hook and Ladder Brigade of Winnsboro, Camp Welfare and Sergeant Isaac Woodard.
