Elder Jennifer L. Moore Harper-Jenkins has always been a part of the Fairfield community, as she was born and raised in the heart of Winnsboro. Mrs. Jenkins is married to Elder Edward James Jenkins, and she has three beautiful daughters and five grandchildren. She states, “They are the love of my life.”
As a well-known pillar in the community, some of her job experiences include Teacher’s Assistant, Secretary, Real Estate Agent. Elder Jenkins was the first principal of the former Fairfield Intermediate School, which is now Fairfield Magnet School for Math and Science. She has also been a college professor at USC Columbia and Newberry College. Though it is not considered a 'paid career,' she wanted that add, "definitely being a full-time mom" is a job experience as well.
Two of her most important accomplishments are being selected as Administrator of the Year (Principal) for the state of South Carolina in 1998 and being chosen for the hall of fame of Fairfield County. Mrs. Jenkins attends Living Word Church and Fellowship in Columbia, South Carolina, where she is an Associate Fellowship Pastor and Elder.
Some things that she enjoys doing in her free time are singing, dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Jenkins believes the one thing that makes her unique is that she never gives up. Best stated by Mrs. Jenkins, “Once I set a goal, I don’t stop until I reach my goal. I’m a go-getter!”
If she could give advice to kids and young teenagers of today’s generation, it would be to love God and everyone that is around you; give him the glory for all of your accomplishments. Her favorite childhood memories are her mom and dad playing, talking, guiding, and protecting her and the rest of her family.
Lastly, Mrs. Jenkins wants to be remembered as a person who loves God and would do anything to help someone else.
