Program DirectorFairfield County WIOA is excited to announce that a total of seven WIOA participants have successfully completed the EMT course, and it is an honor to share this information with the community!
Sloan Simpson, Layla Zarif, CJ Robinson, DeAzah Carroway, Shatejah Jack-son, KeShawn Roseborough, and Jaylen Thompson came to the Fairfield CountyWIOA program seeking occupational skills training as an Emergency Medical Technician.
Fairfield County WIOA was able to fund all seven participants, which consisted of four youth and three adults for their EMT-Basic training at Midlands Technical College Fairfield Campus.
All seven have successfully completed training and will be scheduled to take the National EMS Certification exam. Fairfield County WIOA will assist each participant with updating resumes, job applications and interviewing techniques.
Additionally, Fairfield County WIOA has partnered with Fairfield County Emergency Medical Services who assisted with clinicals and a 20 week paid youth internship.
Upon earning their National EMS Certification. Fairfield County Emergency Medical Services will be able to extend full-time employment. Fairfield County WIOA is excited to be part of the journey, and we wish each and every one continued success!
