Fairfield Artisan Market held its grand opening on May 18th. Years ago, the market was known as “The Stable” for housing horses. The project sparked from the previous Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce President, Terry Vickers. “I’ would like to thank everyone for coming out today. I want to recognize Ms. Terry Vickers for having the vision where the community can come together,” Chamber President Gene Stephens stated.

“It’s a lot we do in local government. I think it’s projects like this that help bring our community together. I hope that this is not the end, but just the beginning of the revitalization of downtown Winnsboro,” County Administrator Jason Taylor said. Those in attendance included Senator Mike Fanning, Representative Annie McDaniel, Fairfield County Council Chairman Cornelius Robinson, and other elected officials. The Market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The facility will be open to the public to host special events and occasions.
