Ms. Constance Tarrance

Ms. Constance Tarrance was born on July 1, 1950, in Hopkins, SC. She currently attends Grace Temple Fellowship Church in Wallace, SC. In her free time, she likes to dance, go bowling, and watch action movies--such as “Jumanji,” “Skyscraper,” and “Proud Mary.”

Ms. Tarrance believes one thing that makes her unique is her young spirit, along with her strong interpersonal skills. Before Ms. Tarrance became a school counselor at Fairfield Central High School, she was a teacher’s assistant at the kindergarten grade level, a mentor, and coordinator of the Gear Up program for four years in Lower Richland. She also worked for employment and training programs.

Later in life, Ms. Tarrance attended South Carolina State University, where she studied counselor education. This led her to her goal of becoming a school counselor at Fairfield Central High School. Ms. Tarrance’s favorite part about working at the school is the interaction she has with her students. She loves the positive family atmosphere here at FCHS.

One tip that Ms.Tarrance would like to give kids and teens in today’s generation is, “Always have a positive attitude and be yourself at all times.”
