Mrs. Betty Harden, at eighty-six years young, is an outgoing lady who describes herself as an “energizer bunny.” Mrs. Harden feels very blessed because of the Council of Aging, which is the central location for senior citizens in Fairfield County to hang out and enjoy time together. During her time there, she enjoys exercising, playing Bingo, and spending time with her walking group. She attends Sion Presbyterian Church and enjoys singing on the choir every Sunday. Mrs. Harden is also a lover of flowers. In fact, she landscapes the South Carolina Railroad Museum with plants and flowers. Not only is Mrs. Harden a part of the Fairfield County Historical Society and President of the Anemone Club, she is also the owner of the store, Oldies and Goodies, which many of us have probably passed while driving through the town of Winnsboro. If Mrs. Betty Harden could give advice to someone, it would be to “Get involved.”
