Fairfield County School District is welcoming a new board member. Former educator, Joe Seibles, will be representing District Four on the Fairfield County School Board.

Seibles stated that he is excited about the opportunity to contribute to the work the board is already doing. Prior to his election, Seibles worked in Elementary Administration, Elementary Teaching, and as a substitute teacher. He retired in 2012 after serving several years as the principal of Geiger Elementary School. Seibles believes he will bring a different perspective to the school board considering he is one of only two former educator currently serving as a trustee member. While serving his term, he hopes to strengthen the boards relationship with teachers and students. The new board member stated that during his tenure, he hopes to “provide students with marketable skills that will sustain them throughout life.” He believes the best way to achieve this goal is to develop positive relationships between students and board members.
