Kelly Miller Elementary School (KMES), continues to excel with the ribbon cutting of their new S.T.E.M.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine) facility. Some of the new additions include a dance room, band room, and art room. Principal Kathy Woodard expects each student to have the opportunity to succeed academically and artistically, while also being exposed to new environments that they have not experienced. This facility gives each student opportunities to learn in their own unique way. For example, one of the main classrooms in this addition is used for ¨Intervention Today,¨ which is an intervention class for different skill leveled students. This classroom also includes medical equipment, and items that you would find in a chemistry class, like an emergency eye flusher. KMES has also added a specified tutoring room, offering students the opportunity to receive extra help. KMES students and staff are excited about a new initiative that will result in the construction of an airplane. Principal Woodard believes Kelly Miller Elementary School is ¨The best of the best¨ and there is no doubt about it with their outstanding new S.T.E.M.M. facility
