Richard Winn Academy’s headmaster, Mrs. Brandy Mullennax, will be departing at the end of the current school year. Mrs. Mullennax has been head- master for three years and has brought many improvements and new students to the Richard Winn family.

Mrs. Kristen Chaisson has been chosen as the Interim Head of School. Mrs. Chaisson is one of the high school English teachers at RWA. She has been a part of the RWA staff for two years, and she began as an educator for fifth and sixth grade. She received her B.A. in General studies from Western Kentucky University. She decided to further her education and she earned her M.S. in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. She received a M. Ed. in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University. Outside of her school life, Mrs. Chaisson spends time at various sporting events for her three children. She is also the head coach of the Blythewood High School varsity girl’s lacrosse team. Although Mrs. Mullenax will be missed dearly, the students and staff of Richard Winn are very excited to begin a new journey with Mrs. Kristen Chaisson as the Interim Head of School until a new permanent Head of School is named.

Students and staff wish Mrs. Mullennax all the best, as she begins her new position as Head of School at Holly Hill Academy.
