Mt. Olive Welcomes Pastor

Mt. Olive Baptist Church installed their new pastor, the Reverend Marcello R. Wheeler Sr., on April 7, 2019. Reverend Wheeler is a native of Columbia, South Carolina where he was groomed into the ministry as a member of the Apostolic Temple Church. He completed his Christian education at Central Christian University of South Carolina. Reverend Wheeler has served as an associate minister at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ridgeway, and is the former pastor of Darian Baptist Church in Pelion, South Carolina. Reverend Wheeler continues to spread the gospel by sharing his testimony of his two-time liver transplant. He wants the members of Mt. Olive to know that “The Lord has been good to us and has blessed us in many ways. Since the start of our journey in February 2019, the Lord has shown Himself, strong and mighty. ToGod Be the Glory. As pastor, I want to say “thank you,” and I love all of you very much.” Reverend Wheeler is married to Vernette Belton Wheeler, a graduate of Fairfield Central High School. They are parents to Imari, Marcello, Jr., Alliyah, and Laykn Wheeler.
