Councilman to host a Town Hall Meeting

County Councilman Moses Bell will host a Town Hall meeting next Thursday, May 4, 2019, at 10 a.m., to provide awareness and opportunities offered by county and state agencies. The meeting will be held at the Ridgeway Fire Department, located at 170 Palmer Street, Ridgeway. During this meeting, residents can plan to hear from Solicitor Randy Norman, Midlands Technical College President, Dr. Ronald Rhames, Fairfield County Economic Development Director Ty Davenport, representatives from WOIA, Council on Aging, Fairfield Behavioral Health, and Duke Energy. Bell and county officials are expected to address the future of District 1, to include a recreation center, a permanent library, promise program, and water issues.

Bell, elected to serve on County Council in November 2018, has lived in District 1 of Fairfield County all his life. He has served on many Fairfield County boards and commissions to include chairman of the Fairfield County Rural Fire Board, the Planning & Zoning Commission, the Strategic Planning Commission for the County, and in many advisory positions. Bell said he promised the constituency of District 1 if elected, he would seek opportunities for citizens, who deserve a better Fairfield. The meeting is opened to the public.
