“He is the way, the truth, and the light.” These were the wise words spoken from Sister Barbara White Lee on Sunday, March, 25, 2019 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was guest speaker for their 3rd annual prayer breakfast. The ceremony kicked off with their usual morning prayer service which featured Mt. Moriah’s Young Voices of Christ, Deacon Donald Lee, Deaconess Annie Martin, Rev. Shirley Henderson-Stone, Trustee Perry James, Trustee Truus Thompson, Brother Lonnie Lee, Deacon Joe Martin, Brother James White, and Sister Denise Hall. At the conclusion of the prayer service, a delicious breakfast was served to all in attendance. Sister Nella White London introduced the speaker followed by a selection from Reverend Stanley Simmons. The guest speaker had some reassuring words to share with the congregation, which included “there is power in the name of Jesus,” “He may not come when we want Him, but He’s always on time,” and “on this day I want to encourage you, as I encourage myself, to hold on to God’s unchanging hand.” In closing, there were remarks from Deacon Donald Lee, Deaconess Teresa Lee, and Pastor James D. Lee. The breakfast ended with a benediction from Rev. Shirley Henderson-Stone.
