Connecting Our Wonderful Community!
Connecting Our Wonderful Community!
Angi Connor Brewer
Executive Director, FCCOA
As the autumn leaves begin to paint the county in vibrant hues of gold and crimson, we are thrilled to bring you the latest updates and exciting happenings at Fairfield County Council on Aging (FCCOA)!
This month, we're embracing the cozy charm of fall with a variety of activities designed to engage, inspire, and connect our wonderful community. Whether you’re interested in joining a new class, participating in our harvest-themed events, or simply catching up with friends over a challenging game of dominos, there’s something for everyone. We’re looking forward to sharing this beautiful season with you and hope to see you soon!
First, join us in wishing Ms. Gail Courtney a happy retirement! Ms. Courtney has been the backbone of our kitchen for over five years. We will miss her dedication, and mostly, her organizational skills -- - if you lose something around here, your best bet is that Gail knows where it is!
We love you Gail, and wish you all the best in everything! Now it’s time to rest!
We also extend a "Thank You!" to the Farm and Garden Supply store in Winnsboro for the donation of collard plants to our senior center! Thank you, Mr. Fred, for planting them in our garden! We know our seniors will enjoy watching them grow and having fresh veggies to take home!
Additionally, as to get an early start on the holiday season, FCCOA’s Annual Senior Angel Tree Project will start on November 7th. Angels are chosen from FCCOA’s client listing and then adopted by community members. Please help make a senior’s holiday a little brighter by adopting a Senior Angel this season.
