This semester in Mrs. Peake’s British Literature class, scholars created Bloom Balls for the short story, "An Inspector Calls."A Bloom Ball is a project where the activities for each face represent a level of Bloom's Taxonomy (e.g., knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis). Students complete activities on each face, moving through the different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy, demonstrating their knowledge and understanding of the short story.
Additionally, we are excited to share the hard work from Mrs. Baggott's second grade class on their first biography project and the partnership they had with our wonderful seniors!
They began by conducting research using the DISCUS website and reading books. To make things even more exciting, Mrs. Peake's senior class paired with our second graders to read books about their famous person. Then, the students used a graphic organizer to help them gather information about their person. The students wrote an outline and then a draft. They worked on their projects at home and wrote the final research paper in class. The senior class visited our classroom again, and the students read their research paper and explained their project to their senior buddy.
Finally, the students presented their projects to the class. It was a tedious process for students to research, organize, write, and create a project about a famous person, but their perseverance was incredible as they worked through each step to produce amazing papers and projects! Our Eagles learned a lot about a variety of famous people! Way to go, students!
