Reubenna Boyd

Mrs. Boyd was born and reared in Barnwell County, SC and moved to Fairfield County in 1970. She has been living here ever since and has been attending Saint Luke Baptist Church since 1970 as well.

After graduating high school, Mrs. Boyd worked in several capacities. She has worked in a the textile industry, where she served as a supervisor in the knitting department for 10 years. After her time in textiles, she worked for Mack Trucks for 16 years. She has also served special needs students at Fairfield Central High School. Even more, Mrs Boyd was a team mom for the Griffins football team at Fairfield Central and worked under 3 coaches. “That was a great experience, and I see some of my students now. They still call me mom,” she said.

Mrs. Boyd is the caretaker for her son. She enjoys working with older people, and helping the youth during her free time. When asked what advice she offers to the younger generation she said, “Learn to do more things independently and not rely on technology, but use your mind”.
